Some of my favorite knowledge about it is the fact that it is highly antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antiparasitic. Onions and Coughs

I recently learned while listening to Barbara O'Neill that onions are amazing healing remedies!! I can't believe it my whole life I've had a cheap, effective household remedy sitting under my nose when I cook every day. Onions have the ability to clear out the Eustachian tubes. This cleansing effect is what may make you cry when chopping an onion. If your Eustachian tubes can use some cleaning, it will most likely make you cry! I've definitely noticed when I have a cold, I am more likely to cry when chopping up an onion.
